PitcheroGPS review: the lowest entry price, with a small yearly fee

Independent researchUpdated November 2026

PitcheroGPS is the cheapest dedicated GPS vest we cover. The trade-off is a yearly membership, so it only stays the cheapest if you compare it over the seasons you will actually use it.

Don't buy PitcheroGPS if…

You want no recurring payments at all (look at STATSports Academy), or you mainly want touches and foot use (look at a boot sensor such as Playermaker).

RedCard verdict

A sensible first GPS vest for budget-conscious players and parents who will keep the £44 membership going.

Over three seasons it usually costs about the same as STATSports Academy, so choose on app and features rather than the headline price.

UK price£120 Player Bundle: tracker, vest, charging cable and app access.

Ongoing cost£44 a year membership to record and view sessions.

ApprovalTracker approved by FIFA and World Rugby, according to PitcheroGPS.

What PitcheroGPS does well

It measures the physical side of the game: distance, speed, sprints and workload. Vest sizes run from Youth Small to Adult XXL, which matters for growing players. If you have more than one child, PitcheroGPS lets one account hold a profile per tracker, though each needs its own membership.

It comes from Pitchero, whose club website platform is used by many grassroots clubs, and it also sells a Team Bundle for coaches who want squad-level analysis.

The membership is the deciding detail

An active membership is required to record and view sessions in the app. PitcheroGPS help pages list £44 a year (about £3.67 a month). They describe both a 60-day free trial and, for UK buyers, 12 months included with the bundle, so check which applies at checkout. That is why our three-season figure is a range.
