What does Veo really cost over three years?

Independent researchNo affiliate linksUpdated October 2026

Veo pricing is best understood as a system rather than a single camera purchase. Hardware, tripod, base subscription and optional analytics/live services can all affect the number.

Year 1Add the camera and required accessories to the first year of the chosen plan. Promotions can change the hardware element substantially.
Years 2–3Recurring plan charges dominate the calculation. Include analytics or live products only if you genuinely need them.
Our ruleNever compare Veo with a subscription-free camera using hardware price alone. Put both on the same three-year basis.

The decision in plain English

Veo is a system purchase. The number that matters is not simply the camera price: it is the cost of the recording setup plus the plan you need for as long as you intend to use it.

The RedCard FC calculation

Cost layerInclude?Why
Veo Cam 3YesOne-time hardware, unless a current promotion changes it
TripodUsuallyA practical match-recording setup needs suitable elevation
Base subscriptionYesRecurring cost is fundamental to the Veo ownership model
AnalyticsOnly if neededDo not inflate the comparison with features your team will not use
LiveOnly if neededLivestreaming should be treated as a separate requirement
Replacement/extra accessoriesIf relevantInclude only when they are genuinely part of your setup

Year 1 = hardware + required accessories + year-one plan + chosen extras.
Three years = Year 1 + two further years of recurring services.

Current UK starting prices

Veo currently advertises Veo Cam 3 from £1,199 as a one-time camera purchase, with subscriptions from £30/month. Veo Go provides a lower-cost phone-based route using three compatible iPhones, with the phone rig advertised at £15 and subscriptions from £19/month.

Those are starting prices rather than a universal three-year total. The plan, tripod, optional analysis/live services and any promotion can change the amount a team actually pays, so RedCard FC shows the assumptions rather than treating one package price as permanent.

Why we are not publishing a misleading fixed UK total

Veo runs promotions and its plan/add-on structure can change. A fixed three-year figure can therefore become misleading. RedCard FC uses dated UK starting prices and shows the assumptions needed to build a realistic ownership total.

Comparison rule. When comparing Veo with a subscription-free system such as XbotGo Chameleon, we put both on the same ownership period. Comparing only the initial hardware prices understates the difference in ownership model.
